WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE

Ten travellers, one platform. A call for change, but will change come? Through missing a connection, we find we have more in common than that which divides us. In the breakdown of a system comes the opportunity for something new.

A play for the many not the few; devised, written, and performed by asylum seekers, refugees, and those with lived experience of disablement and mental health challenges at South Street Arts Centre Wednesday November 09th 2022.

Rank-and-File Theatre works with asylum seekers, refugees, and those with lived experience of disablement and mental health challenges, to find parallels and build common ground through their narratives. We believe in taking the current stories of our time as told through the perspective of people who do not ordinarily have their voices heard. ‘Where do we go from Here?’ is a play set at Reading Train station and includes highlighting the plight of the rail workers who are doing their best to continue keeping people moving, whilst fighting for jobs, pay and pensions.

This was a partnership production with Refugee Support Group and Compass Recovery College. Funded by Reading Council and Arts Council England.
